Side a: Pumping iron Side b: Kid from kidbrooke UK 1980 Fantastic first single of this all-girl trio from London. They had also recorded a John Peel session in the same year. I love this record !!
My punk mate had this back in the early eighties, loved it, tried to get a copy for years thanks to e-bay finally managed to get my hands on a copy about 8 years ago.
The Flatbackers were a girlie three-piece, with Julie on lead guitar and vocals, and the delectable Lucy on bass, her instrument being taller than she was! They made a nice noise, and had a couple of singles out, one of which I bought, “Serenade Of Love” which had a nice reggae tang to it. I see they got to No 75 in the UK, but No 1 in Gibraltar, with "Pumping Iron"! Excellent!
